The Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta (SNSM) is one of the highest coastal mountain ranges in the world, reaching an altitude of 5,700 m (18,700 ft), just 42 km (26mi) from the Colombian Caribbean Coast.

The mountainous coffee belt is found from 900 to 1900 meters above sea level, with temperatures that oscillate between 13 and 30 ° C; generating an irreplaceable biodiversity.

In 1979, UNESCO declared
the SNSM Biosphere Reserve and World Heritage Site because of its environmental importance for humanity.

The climate allows for a harvest from October to January, resulting in a more uniform and richer ripening, leading to an exceptional coffee harvest.

The abundance of microclimates and soil types allows coffee to be grown with different cup profiles.
